Bill Maher contracts COVID despite being vaccinated

Bill Maher has tested positive for COVID-19, forcing HBO to scrap Friday’s scheduled taping of this week’s episode.

In a statement, HBO said Maher is “fully vaccinated” and “feels fine.” Friday’s guests were to have included astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and “Hardcore History” podcast host Dan Carlin.

“Bill tested positive during weekly staff PCR testing for COVID. He is fully vaccinated and as a result is asymptomatic and feels fine,” HBO said. ” ‘Real Time’ production has taken every precaution following COVID CDC guidelines. No other staff or crew members have tested positive at this time. The show will be rescheduled at a later date.”

‘Breakthrough’ COVID death: Fully-vaccinated Flossmoor man, 75, dies from virus a month after 2nd vaccine dose

Illinois public health officials began releasing data Wednesday on what it calls “breakthrough” COVID-19 cases, which involve fully-vaccinated people who still get the virus — and sometimes die.

A 75-year-old south suburban Flossmoor man is one such case. More than two weeks after his second vaccine dose, Alan Sporn, felt free.

“It was a Saturday, and he said instead of getting together for dinner tonight, kids, I’m going to meet you guys for lunch because I’m going out with my friends tonight to celebrate that we made it through this year,” said Bonnie Sporn, his daughter.

But days later, one of his dinner mates tested positive for COVID-19, and so did Sporn. The 75-year-old grandfather of four died from the virus a month after receiving his second shot.

“I got my vaccine, and a lot of people should and did get it. But vaccines aren’t a hundred percent,” his daughter said.

Nebraska confirms first COVID-19 death of fully vaccinated person

Nebraska health officials have confirmed the death of an individual who died from COVID-19 after being fully vaccinated.

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services says a woman in her 80s with underlying medical conditions developed COVID-19 and was hospitalized. When she was hospitalized it had already been 14 days after completing her vaccination series with the Pfizer vaccine.

Four Fully Vaccinated People With Underlying High-Risk Health Conditions Have Died of COVID-19 In Dallas County

Dallas County health officials report four people have died from COVID-19 after they were fully vaccinated.

The four vaccine breakthrough deaths all had underlying high-risk health conditions, and three of the four were immunocompromised or on immunosuppressant medication which lowers the efficacy of the vaccine.

Doctors say COVID-19 vaccines may not offer complete protection for people with compromised immune systems and while they should still get vaccinated, they should continue to take extra precautions after vaccination.

The media has been shoving the vaccine down our throats for four months. Now the new term is “Breakthrough Covid Cases.” They will remind us that no vaccine is 100% perfect.

Bill Maher tested positive. What does that mean? COVID testing is wildly inefficent and often wrong. It can be meaningless. FYI: I tested positive once: https://claytoncraddock.substack.com/p/podcast-episode-10-i-tested-positive

What if there were no tests unless you had symptoms, just like with any other illness?

This whole response to COVID is ridiculous. I’m glad it is coming to an end. I think people have had enough.
